IM FROM CANADA AND I WANT TO GO TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WITH A CRIMINAL RECORD?

Im from Canada and im in the process of getting pardonized...but i really want to go to The Dominican Republic next month for 8 day but my pardon dont come in until some time after my trip. Can i travel from Canada to Dominican Republic hel free??? Im not allowed in th USA so i was just wondering if people in Dominican will have a problem or people in Canada???
