I am 53 and out of work - I need Suggestions!?

I was a Loan Counselor for 7 years. The company I worked for was shut down. I have gone back for more education (continue to do so), I have applied to EVERY job that I even remotely think I can do. I have applied at WalMart, Grocery stores as well as everything that is not commission only. I can't find anything. I have been out of work for almost a year now, as have most of the people I worked with. Some people have found jobs far away and rent houses together and come home on weekends. I have a teenager and a husband that drives a truck (not home a lot) and some horses (that I am hoping to be able to hold onto...? ) so that wouldn't be ok for me. I left my last teen alone a lot due to work and what a disaster that was! I don't want to commute more than 1 hour or so each way and I can't find anything in that dimension. A few of my friends and I are trying to start a companion/errand service out of desperation. I pray. Any other suggestions? I have eliminated almost everything that I can but will still be short each month. The only non-necessity I am holding out on is my internet....I don't have a dial up phone--have a cell plan for us because of my husband's job....so AOL or anything like that is out. Air conditioning is up high (84), I have changed my auto insurance...etc., etc.,
