Will they send me to bootcamp sooner if?

I want to join the Marine Reserves as an 0311. Im 16, turning 17 in 5 months. i dont graduate till next year though. but my question is will joining the DEP when im 17 get me a sooner ship date then if i join when im 18? i really want to ship to bootcamp as soon as i graduate highschool, and i hear some people dont ship out for months after they go to MEPS. so wouldnt joining at 17 give me a better ship date?
