Is it normal to have blood come out of your nose...? Please help!?

I am 20 and have a cold or flu or whatever. I have a congested nose and my ear is popping. I have been blowing my nose and been congested for 3 days now.I don't know what happened, but I recently blew my nose and blood started to come out in the mucus. Is this normal if I blow my nose to much considering I have been doing this for 3 days now Morning, noon, and esp. night? What can I do to stop this?
