Actually Native Americans are fine with the name and if researched properly, you will find that the team name is named after the first coach they had when the team moved and changed from the Braves. The team name obviously is not used as a slur when people cheer for Washington or attack Washington and their fan base. The team name really refers to the players in the uniform.
